Starlight’s Terra Del Sole project wins Award for it’s contribution to the energy transition

Starlight’s Global Managing Director, Gianluca Boccanera, was delighted to accept an award for the agrivoltaics project ‘Terra del Sole’ at the CEOforLIFE Awards in Rome

The Terra del Sole project in Giugliano, Italy, is Starlight’s innovative agrivoltaics initiative combining solar energy production with agriculture. Starlight was delighted to accept this award at the CEO For Life Awards 2024, as a result of the project’s contribution to the energy tranisition. Gianluca was pleased to present the project in more depth at the event.

Once constructed, Terra Del Sole will generate 155 GWh of clean energy annually – enough to power 55,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by 83,000 tonnes. The project also supports local agriculture and education, promoting sustainable farming and providing training opportunities.
